Our company
Since the foundation of Agro Baltic GmbH Rostock in April 1991, the import and distribution of solid and liquid fertilizers to Germany and Europe have been the core business of our company. Our customers include German and European fertilizer distributors. The organization of sea, inland waterway and truck transports to the desired destination are included in the scope of services
In order to take account of the constantly changing conditions in agriculture, we strive to contribute to the development of new processes and products. Our focus is on making agricultural production more environmentally friendly, reliable and cost-effective. We regularly participate in fertilization trials of renowned institutions, e.g. Biochem Agrar GmbH, with products from our range.
Reliable partner
Effective July 01, 2004, 50% of our shares were acquired by the Lithuanian producer AB Achema, Jonava. In addition to ammonium nitrate, ammonium nitrate urea solution (AHL) and urea, the company, which is one of the largest nitrogen fertilizer producers in northeastern Europe, has also been producing calcium ammonium nitrate since 2003.
The long-standing partnership has been continued since 2015 with the full acquisition of our business shares by the group UAB Koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ continued.

History
The Agro Baltic GmbH was founded in 1991 as a wholly owned subsidiary of F. Rellmann GmbH in Buchholz i.d.N. near Hamburg and integrated into the CMF – Group(Common Market Fertilizer) with headquarters in Brussels in 1996.
In 2004 AB “ACHEMA” in Jonava (Lithuania), one of the leading nitrogen fertilizer producers in the Baltic region, acquired 50 percent of our company. In 2008, the Canadian joint-stock company Agrium Inc. took over the CMF – Group, which has been operating under the name Agrium Europe since 2010.
Agro Baltic GmbH was thus for about 7 years a 50% subsidiary of the Agrium Europe SA with headquarters in Brussels (Belgium) and further branches in European countries.
In 2015, this partnership ended with the 100 percent takeover of the shares by the Lithuanian group UAB Koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ.
